From 2002 to 2003, he served as chairman of SAP’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa region and, prior to this, he was president and CEO for SAP in the Asia-Pacific region. He was appointed to the SAP Extended Board in 1999. Furthermore, he served on the advisory boards of the following countries: Malaysia, Singapore and South Africa (Presidents International Advisory Council).
